Wedding Flavours
Our 10 savvy suggestions that will make YOUR wedding, the one that they will talk about!
Loop the loop
Add a personal touch to your save the dates, by stringing your wedding details onto a beautiful ribbon (in your themed colour of course). Invitations wrapped with beaded ribbons… how romantic!
Fan of the day
The quaintest of churches are often the hottest, and with that comes the conversion of the order of service into that ‘I don’t want my makeup to drip off’ fan. Think ahead and have your order of service printed as the fan. Your guests will love you for it!
Snap happy
We all know that with each of your wedding guests comes a digital camera. But not everyone is a photographer, and while their happy snaps might be great for Facebook - let’s face it… they will not make it into an album. Increase the likelihood of great shots by setting up a photo-booth… a corner where your guests can pose and be merry, not look too offensive and perhaps match the look of your wedding theme that you so carefully thought out.
Hung out to dry
Instead of the traditional guest book… why not give your guests a chance to air out your dirty laundry? There are only so many times you want to read… “All the best for your future together”… Wouldn’t you prefer to reminisce on good times shared with friends and hear about the silly (or is that naughty) things your new husband got up to before marriage?
On all paws
Is your pooch your baby… then he may not want to miss out on such a special occasion. They say never to work with dogs or kids… but if they are well behaved they make ALL the difference. Imagine the grins and excitement when your puppy walks down the aisle with your rings attached to his collar… Gorgeous!
Rockin’ it
What better way to say thank you to your bridesmaids than with jewellery… Use their birthstones as inspiration for their gift.
Warm things up
Your wedding day night is to be enjoyed… you certainly don’t want to freeze due to the cold night air. Warm up with a lace bolero or faux fur cape.
Surprise!
This one’s my favourite because I did this to my guests! So, everyone keeps on nagging you… “when are you finally going to tie the knot?” Try inviting them to a long-awaited engagement party or other special event and surprise them by getting married on the spot!
Sole mates
For those people who have stayed with you ALL night, (not those who left as soon as the cake was cut)... you should take your shoes off to them! Literally! And ask them to write something special on the sole of your shoes. This will make for a special keepsake of your wedding reception.
